Mudra Foundation Course

The Yoga Mudra Foundation Course is designed to take place over:

 

– 5th & 6th October in class

– 12th & 13th October in class

– 3rd November  online

– 10th November  online

This course helps purify both the body and mind for a healthy and spiritual life. The origin of 95% of diseases comes from the imbalance of elements and pranas (vital energies). In this course, you will learn how to correct these imbalances through the application of simple hand mudras.

WHO CAN JOIN THIS COURSE?

– The course is open to anyone interested.  

– Yoga teachers and alternative therapists can integrate mudras into their practice and share this knowledge with their students.

1. Introduction to Mudras 

   – History & Origin of Mudra  

   – What is a Mudra and its significance in modern life  

   – Classification of Mudras according to yogic texts  

   – Tips for practicing Mudras  

   – Benefits and limitations of Mudras  

2. Mudras in Relation to Yogic Concepts 

   – Mudras and Pancha Bhoota (5 elements)  

   – Mudras and Chakras  

   – Mudras and Pranayama (breath control)  

3. Specific Mudras Covered

   – Tattva Mudra  

   – Pranic Mudra  

   – Dhyana Mudra (for meditation)  

4. Mudra Meditation Practices 

   – Nada Mudra Meditation  

   – Pancha Bhoota Meditation  

   – Chakra Mudra Meditation  

   – Prana Mudra Meditation  

WHAT YOU WILL LEARN

– The science and history of Mudras  

– Mudras in classical Hatha Yoga texts and practice  

– The cosmic power of Hasta Mudra (hand mudras) in your fingers  

– How to balance Pancha Pranas (5 pranas) using mudras  

– How to balance Pancha Bhoota (5 elements) with mudras  

– How to integrate mudras into different yogic practices, including asana, pranayama, and meditation  

– How mudras work through the brain’s bioeffect mechanism  

– How to apply mudras in your daily routine  

– Selected mudras to balance energy  

– Different mudra-related Nidras (yogic sleep techniques)

EXAMINATION & CERTIFICATION

– A simple written examination (online) will be conducted at the end of the course.  

– The examination paper will be sent via email, and answers should be returned by email.  

– Certification will be provided by the **International Vasishta Yoga Research Foundation**.

WHAT YOU WILL RECEIVE

– Printed notes (sent one day before each section)  

– Video recordings of the classes (if you miss a class, we will provide the video recording link. However, we cannot guarantee this if technical issues occur during recording.)  

ATTENDANCE REQUIREMENTS

– A minimum of **70% attendance** is required to take the examination and receive certification.  

– Do not miss more than 4 classes.
